Pulpit Committee Recomendation

Our pastor candidate will be at our church on September 18 and 19. A called Business Meeting will be held Saturday evening on September 18 following a reception and a covered dish supper at 6:00 pm. We encourage everyone in the church to make plans to come and meet the candidate and his wife. We will discuss the details of the call and allow any questions to be presented at that time.

On Sunday, September 19th the candidate will be here for the morning worship service and will present the morning message. At the conclusion of this worship service we will vote to extend a call to him.

Sunday School Teachers

Attention all Sunday School teachers!  There will be a teachers' meeting on Sunday, September 12 at 5:00 PM.  Plan to attend!  Remember your homework is to read the first chapter of Sunday School That Really Works.

Dear Folks,

What a great time everyone had at the Fall Festival last week. The kids really had a fun time and we adults got plenty to eat. If you missed it you missed some really good fellowship. The attendance was great with at least 150 in attendance. Many of these were not members of our church so there will be some possible prospects for our church. I just want to say thank you for all the hard work that so many of you did to make it happen. It was a good event for our children and it was a way for us to reach out in the community around us and let them know that we care for them and that we are concerned about their relationship with our Lord Jesus Christ.

It is hard to believe that Thanksgiving is just a few weeks away. I know that it has not been a year without many difficult times. However, our God is faithful and promises us that He will meet every need that His people have. Of this one thing we can be sure. As we approach this Thanksgiving season, let me encourage you to ask God to help us be sensitive to the needs others may have and that our church will continue to reach and minister in our community.

Be in prayer for our Youth as they will be leaving on a mission trip to Live Oak, Florida this Friday. Pray for their safety and that God will use them and bless them on this trip.

Don’t forget to make plans for our annual Thanksgiving Dinner coming up on Wednesday the 18th.
